Original 1906 bronze medal issued for the Nederlandsche Duitsche Staande Hondenclub (Netherlands German Pointing Dog Club) to mark the club’s 2nd lustrum (10-year anniversary).
High-relief left-facing bust of a German pointing dog with legend “NED. D. ST. HONDEN CLUB” (abbreviation of Nederlandsche Duitsche Staande Hondenclub).
Reverse: Rectangular cartouche with “1906 – 2de LUSTRUM” surrounded by oak leaves.
This design is documented in the Dutch numismatic journal Tijdschrift Munt- en Penningkunde (no. 590), where it is attributed to the famous Utrecht medal maker C.J. Begeer and given as bronze, approx. 47 mm in diameter.
