This is an antique Chinese porcelain teacup from the Qianlong period (1700s, 18th century.) It is decorated in blue and white in the Nanking or Canton style, depicting a scene of houses and trees along a river with birds flying overhead, the predecessor of the English Blue Willow pattern. The interior has a border diaper. Decorated in gilt.
Size: 3.5" across x 2" high
Condition: three nearly invisible rim frits. Faded gilt.
