Survivor of the pre-war broadcast boom, this 1939 GE H-634 features the rare Tenite faceplate, a material with the warmth of wood and quirks of early bioplastics. Originally built for farms and small homes, it now serves as a screen-ready hero prop with working AM reception.
Cinematic Presence: Tenite faceplate, bold Deco curves, Bakelite knobs, marbleized pushbuttons. Period loop antenna with tap options. Phono input adds playback utility.
Restoration: Cord, lamps, mounts, paper and e-caps replaced. Wiring repaired or re-sheathed. Faceplate cleaned, cabinet waxed. Electrical function restored without IF alignment. Dry climate recommended due to Tenite sensitivity.
Functionality: AM tested strong. SW band present but unaligned. Can adapt to 12V tube system. Preserved as a complete piece, not for parting.
