RP-500M II the left (–) binding post is missing its outer knob/cap. You’re seeing the bare gold shaft. The post itself looks intact, so it should still work with banana plugs, but you can’t clamp bare wire without the knob.
What you can do now
Use 4 mm banana plugs for both + and – and you’re good.
If you must use bare wire or spades, you’ll need the missing knob (or replace the post).
