One-Of-A-Kind KiGi Couture designed kantha upcycled dress.
This dress began as a 100% cotton denim dress, then was upcycled with sleeves made from Kantha quilts. Kantha quilts are made from vintage Indian cotton sarees by stacking multiple layers of sarees and hand stitching which has been the custom for hundreds of years. Kantha has two meanings "rags or discarded cloth" and it also refers to Bangladeshi embroidery technique using a running stitch on layered fabrics to create quilts. The result is a beautiful, soft, flowy, sustainable garment.
The dress has open closed sides with an approximate 10-12" armhole opening.
The length of the Kantha is approximately 42".
The width of the dress is approximately 38"
