"D-Con Kit" is an abbreviation for DECONTAMINATION KIT.
Inside a plastic case, there are two types of powder-covered cloths sealed in vinyl.
The instructions begin with "IMMEDIATELY MASK UP," but I opened it without any protection.
The smell of chlorine is intense, and I got a headache.
It might be leaking slightly.
Since it's a container with a high degree of sealing, it's not a problem if the lid is on.
Likely from the 1969 lot.
It seems to have been issued during the Vietnam War era and stored unopened.
Absolutely do not use.
Please treat it as a cosplay item or for collection purposes.
While cases and recent decontamination kits for NBC (Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical) agents are relatively easy to obtain, the old-type decontamination kits are quite rare.
