U.S. Air Force Mess Dress Jacket and Medal Group belonging to Lt. Col. Joseph E. "Jojo" Copenhaver Jr. (1955-2023). The jacket features Major (0-4) rank boards, Senior Aircrew wings, and a mounted 12-medal bar including the Air Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation, Joint Service Commendation, Air Force Achievement, National Defense, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and Southwest Asia Service Medal.
Included with the jacket is a framed Somalia presentation piece, inscribed directly to "Jo Jo" and gifted by Delta operators with the dedication: "The Blue Suitor with a Green Heart - Thanks from the guys in Delta Ops, Aug 1992 - Oct 1994." The artwork depicts Mogadishu, helicopters, and ground troops, and is signed Vega, Oct 1993,
linking it to the era of Operation Restore Hope and the Battle of Mogadishu ("Black Hawk Down").
