This lantern is in overall decent condition (compared to others in the collections) with noticeable wear and age. Appears it may have been painted. it was cleaned on the outside but, not taken apart. I'm assuming N.Y.C.S. is New York Central System, could be wrong. Nothing is known about the mechanical condition (See pictures).
