Vintage Italian Capodimonte Earthenware Putti Cherubs Trinket Egg Rose Bush Gold

This is a vintage Capodimonte trinket container, from Italy. Made of earthenware porcelain and featuring hand-sculpted and hand-painted details.

The box is decorated with two cherubs (putti) and raised floral roses, branches and leaves.

Capodimonte porcelain is a style of porcelain originating from Naples, Italy, and is known for its detailed figures and floral embellishments.

The bottom of this piece had a mark, a five-point crown over an "N," to identify it as Capodimonte, but the mark has faded.

This egg box is covered in decorative crazing, gold accents, and roses with muted tones. The overall condition is good, however there are two areas of concern, by the front on the egg box closure there is a rectangular piece missing, another area with a very good repair is the arm of one of the cherubs. I have detailed these in the pictures.

The piece is about 9.5” tall and 7.5” wide.
